The Market On Wednesday

  Good morning. It is 66 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The forecast predicts that the temperature will go into the 80s this afternoon and that it will be a mostly sunny day. A new Quinnipiac poll has Clinton and Trump neck and neck. Quinnipiac is not a highly regarded pollster, still that is uncomfortable. I think a Trump presidency would be a disaster. There's a lot to winning the presidency though and Clinton is still way ahead on organization and ground game, and in the long run that matters.

  At 8:45 a.m. ET futures are significantly higher and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open higher.

  Markets are rebounding from last week's Brexit vote. The attack in Turkey will no doubt affect tourism in that country. ISIS, they gotta go. Enjoy the stock market ride.

A summit of European Union leaders in Brussels continues on Wednesday. The meeting could provide more clues about Europe's plan to deal with the U.K. as it leaves the 28-member union.
