The neo-Liberal system has specifically targeted Venezuela for a take down. I expect a coup from the far right there any day and then a round up and mass incarceration of the left like happened in Argentina in the 70's. After that happens we won't be hearing anything from there while the MSM cover ups the on going massacres and murders.

It's not looking good check out the numbers as reported by the Guardian - "By IMF figures, it has the world’s worst negative growth rate (-8%), and the worst inflation rate (482%). The unemployment rate is 17% but is expected to climb to near 30% in the coming few years."

Like Russia it's economy unfortunately has been a one trick pony called OIL and OIL has been a loser the last 2+ yrs.
