So one has to wonder, WTF. Right now there is an oil glut, the globe is overflowing with oil which is now priced close to $40 a barrel. That is outrageous in many ways. In addition we have China, possibly the world's largest manufacturer of commodities (junk) in a tailspin economically. So why do we need to drill for more oil right now? Why is this happening? We need some answers, this is bullshit. In addition let's not forget about the trillion pound elephant in the room; that would be global warming most of which is already embedded, or if you prefer, baked into the system meaning it is not reversible. This is just plain old greed and stupidity, and in this case greed is 'Trump'-ing stupidity.

This is Obama and what's become of the so called D party. On the one hand he says he gets it about Global Warming and on the other he is allowing drilling everywhere for everything.
These oil companies are run by very smart individuals; they are not in the business of losing money. So what are they saying - the demand for oil is going to increase, they consequently need to drill for more, and they plan on making a lot of money from it. In America government policy follows corporate vision, that is our form of government - a corporate plutocracy. So we need to assume that the energy status quo is sacrosanct and it's business as usual, global warming be damned.
