Its sad in a way, imagine the world's response had Ebola started in Sweden or NYC. Because its taking place largely in a dirt poor place where the pop. is all black and brown people nothing much is being done. To underline and contrast this look at the fear and panic 3 cases in the US has caused in 2 weeks.

I read that AIDs originated in the Congo back in the 1920s. One might think that AIDs had similarly infected some people earlier than when all hell broke loose in the early 1980s. All those people had to have been black or brown too - this is all conjecture. I wonder if historians have found evidence of this from tribal folklore.
