The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 61 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. A cooler glorious sunny day is expected so enjoy the outdoors if you can, our warmer outdoor days are numbered. I hope you had a good restful weekend. My weekend culminated in a very pleasant pot luck dinner gathering. There's nothing quite like getting together with friends and family.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are modestly lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower.

The article might lead one to the sense that we are in a weak period in the market. There isn't much there that is compelling it upward, still the indexes are in a very lofty spot. The market has performed in an outstanding manner over the last several years. It's always easy to find someone who will predict i's immediate demise, personally I think the market could remain stable through the end of this year. Saying that is always the kiss of death though. We shall see.
