Until those nasty things happen nothing much will be done. Even then nothing much will be done. We've know about this for a very long time and we're pumping ever increasing amounts of GHGs into the air anyway, so why does anyone really believe that anything substantial will be done? I don't.

I like the idea of an agricultural movement to sequester CO2, put it back into the ground. The thing that appeals to me is the way it circumvents the powers that be and in that sense just gives up on any notion that a government will do anything at all. Basically tackling global warming needs to be a people's movement because nobody else is going to work at it. Nothing else works for me at the moment.
