The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is a cool 50 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. We were in the 40s last night, the cool sweater wearing temperatures have arrived and technically it's still summertime. I hope you had a good weekend. We had the pleasure of another get together with some old friends for good food and music merriment. That's as good as it gets.

At 8:50 a.m. ET futures are slightly lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower.

There are a number of global events percolating through the week and a big IPO coming up with Alibaba. Still the market is fumbling and the bull is resting as it were. On the other hand it looks like Apple is once again soaring with its new iPhone.
