The Market On Friday

Good morning. It is 46 degrees and sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley. It looks like we are in for a gorgeous early Fall day and I do look forward to my daily walk later on in the day. Scotland voted to stay with the UK, I'm not surprised. It's better to stay with the devil you know than the devil you don't know.

At 8:45 a.m. ET futures are modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open higher.

It's a good news morning for investors. England remains England as we know it, and Alibaba goes on sale. The market is in record territory and the morning's conditions are set to push it further. We shall see if it holds by closing time.
