He suggests that, at very high energy levels, the Higgs could suddenly become unstable, causing a “catastrophic vacuum decay” that would cause time and space to collapse.
Such a disaster is, he stresses, very unlikely — and the fact that such a possibility even exists is exciting because it suggests a whole new realm of physics.

We have to pray GOD is in a good mood, or else. This reminds me of the Stephen King Movie where monsters are eating up the past.
It's got to be tough to be a genius astrophysicist. There's no limit to the vision for potential end of universe or universes scenarios. Apparently that vision is enough to open up another realm of study - it's the silver lining in Armageddon.
