Akin's comments were no mistake. This kind of stuff is standard Reptilian campaign ranting. In his world women are always asking for it if they appear in public un-escorted by a male. He just forgot he was on camera and not everybody is a Reptile that was listening in. Opps!!
The story has a little traction, I'm surprised, although I'm not sure it lasts through Tuesday. Akin has it right, just sit there and say "I'm no quitter" and voila amazingly degrading language is instantly transformed into the oh he doesn't mean it stinky old silly good hearted uncle.
He's so representative of today's GOP. Your right though. I already see the media doing it's spin cycle with this story. By tomorrow you'll be hearing them saying first on FOX then on ABC then on the rest , Let's move along folks nothing to see here. Yep, just another political car wreck, nothing new , unless it's a D then we want you focused on this for a mos. or so or until the person quits.
I've seen tons of posts on it on Facebook. The women especially on Facebook are very pissed and rightfully so. He's just a tool. These poignantly incurious people in places of power are train wrecks.
