Authoritarian point one - it is permissible and desirable to lie to the dirty masses AKA you and me, if that lie will gain you political power. You see an entity like the Paul Ryan express which clearly is in the "know" with its righteous indignation contains within its core the essential belief that it alone has access to the "truth." Therefor lying is necessary, especially if that lie will gain you power.
