Rolling Stone: Global Warming's Terrifying New Math
"The new data provide further evidence that the door to a two-degree trajectory is about to close," said Fatih Birol, the IEA's chief economist. In fact, he continued, "When I look at this data, the trend is perfectly in line with a temperature increase of about six degrees." That's almost 11 degrees Fahrenheit, which would create a planet straight out of science fiction.

Sci Fi indeed. The last time the planet was that warm Dinos roamed the Arctic.

I remember being ten years old and reading superman comics, with superman's dad warning the kryptonians about the planets approaching doom. They scoffed at him, and he finally put his baby boy into a rocketship and launched him towards a more suitable planet.

I wonder if there was a kryptonian version of fox news, assuring everyone that the damn liberals were behind all this talk of krypton exploding.

Going to FOX and Rush Limbaugh for news is like entrusting your neighbor's three year old with your family's finances.

This article is extremely important, I'm trying to get people to read it.

Going to FOX and Rush Limbaugh for news is like entrusting your neighbor's three year old with your family's finances.

And yet many in this country do trust fox (several of the supreme court justices listen to Rimbaugh on a daily basis while they contemplate how to ruin our lives). Millions of fox news devotees waddling into voting booths explains why we're in the fix we're in. Eight years of W, and now a strong possibility of four+ years of Mittens, with Bushco's foreign policy team back in the saddle.

If Superman's dad had known what was in store for earth, he might have blasted him instead towards ganymede.

The article is important, and I hope all the citizens who call global warming a "hoax" someday come to their senses, but I don't see how when polluting industries have seized such a large chunk of the public airwaves for blatant misinformation.
