The Market On Wednesday

Good morning. It is 34 degrees and nice and sunny here in Upstate NY. Spring is being demure, we would like to see her in full attire. I did not want to get up this morning, I still want to go back to sleep. The day demands and we comply.

At 8:30 a.m. futures are moderately up, the dollar is mixed, and oil is up.

Gold is up as well. People that invested in gold a few years back have made out rather well.

Hopefully the market continues to tread water until Monday's start of Q1 reports.

CNN: Stocks poised for gains

...Blockbuster shares now trade on the pink sheets -- at less than 8 cents a piece.


No major economic reports are on the agenda for Wednesday, but investors will continue to keep an eye on budget negotiations in Congress and political turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa.


Oil for May delivery gained 17 cents to $108.51 a barrel.
