Copper

The DOW gained 115 points today closing at a new record recent high of 12,595.

With global demand for copper soaring, the article is suggesting that copper is the new gold...

Estimates vary, but analysts see demand for copper, where its ductility and conductivity make it an essential input in electrical products, wiring and in tubing, outstripping supply by between 300,000 tons to almost 1 million tons this year.

On well, its nice to know if things get really nasty I can always rip all the wiring out of my house and sell it so we can eat another day.

Its all plastic in new construction, some copper here and there, but mostly plastic tubing.

People will be stripping abandoned houses.
