The Market On Wednesday

I am still processing the information on the removal of the "uptick rule" in 2007 by the SEC.

Does this raise your eyebrows?

This is from September 2007 -
In an increasingly heated debate, the rising number of short sales and growing market volatility since July are being cited as evidence that institutional traders, such as hedge fund managers, are fueling the choppy markets, according to some industry professionals. source
Right after the "uptick rule" is removed, the market started to tank. January 2008 was the time of the first crash and this occurs only months after the rule is repealed.

There needs to be a very serious investigation of who and why and it needs to be done very soon.
