The more insane Trump becomes the more likely he's going to lose but also the more likely he's going to try and stop the counting up front claiming mail in ballots in States he's winning at the polls are all fake etc. He could use Federal marshals to seize those ballots. If he believes he's going to lose he'll cheat right up front and what is anyone going to do to stop him?
We need to expect the worst. Trump is obviously completely crazy and he will do anything, literally anything. We have to hope saner minds will prevail. He will cheat, he will force the issue, he will lie, and he will encourage violence and fear.
