There is only one quality — beyond, of course, charisma — that Democrats should demand in their nominee. The Democrats need a candidate who can and will run as an economic populist.
They need a candidate who will organize the 2020 campaign around fighting for the little guy and gal.

Biden will try and do that stylistically by putting up his resume and his family history, but in reality, he's an arch Corporatist and that's why I can't back him. Bernie has the for real Progressive/ Populist creds but he comes off too much like a left-wing College Prof. for most American's. So, then there's Beto the new kid on the block he appeals to the young I get that but what has he ever won? Losing to the despicable Ted Cruz certainly is something to crow about no matter how close you came and it wasn't that close. So, who else is in the Dem. ballpen? Maybe, Sen. Sherrod Brown from Ohio is a good bet? I don't know it's still early though. It has to be someone that knows how to fight back something Obama lacked. he was way to accommodating to the people that hated him.
I like Sherrod Brown except he's got that un-oiled voice tone. I like Julián Castro and I like Kamala Harris. Whoever it is, they better take out shitgibbon.
