I'm bracing for Mueller's firing. It's more likely though that Trumpf will put a crony in over Mueller by firing Rosenstein and that crony will hand over all the Investigations materials to Trumpf destroying any possibility of a conviction.

We have to have confidence that Mueller has an eye on this and is not working on the assumption that he goes on as long as he needs. He's a smart and savvy attorney and has seen the ins and outs plus at this point he is very familiar with Trump's habits an patterns including firing and hiring. Also I would suspect that Mueller knows if Trump is guilty or not. On the other hand it may be that he must work within a very narrow judicial guideline that keeps him in place. I don't know enough about it, somebody out there certainly does and I'd like to know more.

Trumpf is a moving target, to say the least. He's like an electron in that you can never say where it is at any single moment and that makes things very difficult for Mr. Mueller. I've somewhat lowered my expectations for Mueller and I'm starting to think that the only real solution to Trumpenstein is at the ballot box starting this fall. If we can win the house we can tie up the GOP / Trumpenstein's agenda and maybe ( although I'm not counting on this from Nancy) Impeach the sonofabitch. I repeat I have little faith in Nancy or Chuck doing anything beyond maybe tying the GOP up next year if they can win back the house. I think the Senate is a reach even in a big blue wave.

Ultimately you may very well be right, it's certainly a strong possibility. The results for Dems in November through to Connor Lamb have been good. Can they continue till November? Big question. It may very well be that it is elections that will bring about changes. Still even elections are subject to abuse now that the Russians are dirty. Given that Trump is highly likely to be under the influence of Putin, how do we guarantee that the ballot box is real and not corrupted.
