The Trumpf voter as I've seen it are to a large part the FOX voter. You can't parse the Trumpf/FOX agenda or worldview you have to buy into all of it.
Yes, FOX definitely keeps the mythology going. It strikes me that this is the object of the channel, i.e. to maintain this rural edge of an American working class martyred shit show. FOX didn't do this overnight either, they've refined the message, now it's an art. If I were a loathsome POS like Trump with political ambitions and not a whiff of concern about how I gained power, like Trump, I'd dial up FOX and get schooled in the art of duping arrogant working class stiffs utterly bull headed stuck in the stew of xtianity and old world values AKA racism.
