I'm old enough to remember the newspaper want ads being many many pages. And jobs being separated into "Jobs for Women" and "Jobs for Men"

And so many jobs were entry-level, "no experience necessary, will train" file clerk and typist and office help jobs. Men would get jobs as file clerks and then work their way up the ladder to supervisory positions. Often, the company would pay for tuition.

It was a different time!

To say that times are changing is way beyond an understatement. It's tough out there and the hoops to jump through are at a wicked level. If someone is good with computer language, coding, etc etc then there's plenty. Beyond that, it's elite jobs or minimum wage.
