Anyone over 60 has seen this movie before. The video of the guy being shot in the back repeatedly as he ran away was the straw that broke the Camel's back. For many black people that was proof positive that it was essentially as they say open season on anyone the Police felt was a threat.

What we have here is a feedback loop that is burning itself out. The most unfortunate part is that the majority of people not only in the inner city but everywhere are law abiding and in this case these innocent people are caught in the middle. TRNN has done a good job of showing problems in Baltimore as they are based in Baltimore. This was a powder keg ready to explode and it has. Something has got to give and we already know some of the outcome. Initially there will be mourning and calls for improvement, tiny tiny changes will be made, and then it's back to business as usual except the community is now millions in the hole with damages and the loss of economy will exasperate the situation. And so the loop starts all over once again.

"the community is now millions in the hole" That's actually an apt description of Baltimore and most other old Industrial cities in the East and Midwest. Millions unemployed or barely employed living on food stamps and whatever work they can scrounge from a system that sees them as surplus labor.

Ugh, it makes me realize that this is not the last of this type of rioting that we will see.
