Its warm even in Alaska and that's something to really worry about. Actually, some climate modelers a decade ago had predicted that just such a high would eventually start to appear. As the ocean's ratchet it up the heat we can expect all kinds of unusual weather and climate related events. This is the new normal folks.
Well we are going through the harshest February that I can recall, and it's not over yet as we go back below 0 tonight and tomorrow. It's really something to walk in my neighborhood, bundled up with layer on layer, in temperatures below 0 and listen to the chirping of the very early Spring birds in the daytime.
