Glynn Kalara said...: Marx was demonized long ago because many of the things he was saying 150 yrs. ago turned out to be right. Capitalism is now eating itself alive. The big central contradiction at its core is now coming home to roost big time. Marx predicted that Capitalism ends in monopoly Enterprises and massive consolidations as we've seen happen in the banking sector and many other areas. Crony Capitalist hate competition. For 60 yrs. we had what became known as a Fordist economic model. Why? because, Henry Ford way back when decided to pay his employees a decent wage for that period, not because he loved them, no because he declared that growing a new Middle Class would ultimately provide him and all the other manufactures customers to buy their products. Now they don't care, because they have a global economy and they've abandoned the US worker and soon they will have no American consumer either. Jim Sande said...: I like what Paul says about the conversation about capitalism increasing. I think the Occupy Movement pushed some people into that discussion. Of course they have no power, and capitalism will remain on it's firm path. But some people are actually living off the grid as it were. It's always occurred but there some new intelligence there.; 9:15 AM
