  Putting on my couch potato Sunday quarterback conspiracy theory nut hat for a moment, it seems to me that the recent spike in oil production from the Saudis which is driving down the price of oil globally, is actually being done at the request of the USA as a punitive measure taken against Putin. One of Russia's major sources of revenue is oil. When you add decreased oil revenue to the ongoing global devaluation of the ruble on account of Russia's Ukraine excursion, you've got Russia going into deep recession. Seems plausible right, except I do have on my couch potato Sunday quarterback conspiracy theory nut hat.
