The Market On Friday

Good morning. At 8:30 a.m. ET it is 37 degrees and cloudy here in Upstate NY. Hey it's going up into the 50s next week, I can do more house painting. On Facebook someone pointed out the hypocrisy in GOTea complaints over the Obamacare website delays. The simple and clear point is this - the GOTea has never complained about people having to wait in line 7 hours just to vote.

At 8:31 a.m. ET futures are flat and the price of oil per barrel is up. The market is poised to open flat.

Good earnings reports from tech corporations are stabilizing the pre-market this morning. Allegedly it is a light economic news day with reports on consumer sentiment coming through. What's your sentiment oh consumer? Mine is, I wish it were still Summer. We could get ahead of ourselves here and think that the week will collectively be a week of markets gains, it could happen.

CNN: Tech stocks lead premarket gains
Shares of Amazon and Zynga jumped after sales and earnings reports beat expectations on Thursday.

Upbeat earnings reports, along with hopes that the Federal Reserve will delay winding back its massive bond-buying program, have helped buoy stocks.
