  It is 29 degrees and once again cloudy and gray here in Upstate NY. Sometimes the grayness of this area is burdensome, but we learn how to live in it successfully. During the worst of the winter, you always see someone out jogging and working at maintaining their energy. I have learned to do a combination of things including long walks and yoga sometimes some skiing.

  It's really been an especially miserable week in the news. The State Department has essentially given its approval to the Keystone pipeline. This is a disaster of almost unequaled parallel. Instead of moving the country towards clean renewable energy sources, this pipeline represents moving oil addiction actually down several misery rungs from where it presently exists as a corporate social entity polluting the atmosphere beyond belief. This pipeline will be a disaster for decades with raising the carbon dioxide parts per million in our atmosphere and bringing more global warming. Get used to extreme weather, or rather try to imagine even more extreme weather because that's what is coming. Carbon dioxide traps heat, that's the problem. The more carbon dioxide, the more heat. This is the simplest way of stating the science. It's one plus one equals two - carbon dioxide traps heat and the more of it you put into the atmosphere, the more heat it traps. That is called science.

  Then there's the GOP trapped like rats in a closed box, they are flailing in all directions to maintain power and control So we have a biased Supreme Court ready to strike down the voting rights act. Look this is also simple. You remove voting rights and then essentially black people in poor communities are kept from voting for democrats, as they sure as hell do not vote for conservatives. Everybody knows this. So the fight continues, the GOP doubles down on suppression and everybody else has to double up on freedom. Throw into this mes the "sequester" which essentially disassembles the economy during the recovery from the worst recession yet, and the hate continues. The sequester has only one purpose, that is to reduce the middle class and poor class further and create pockets for corporate privatization. Any term that sounds suspicious is essentially a mask for privatization, words like sequester and austerity.

  So blow one is from the Democratic Party with approval of Keystone and blow two is ruin voting rights and the economy which falls on the heads of the GOP Tea Party. Anybody, got any ideas here?
