Trying to defeat Willard by showing how out of touch he is with reality is IMO a desperate and wrongheaded way to win this fall. In fact, Americans have shown they will vote for just such a person over and over again. Nixon, BV$h 1 & 2 as examples.
Right now, I think Romney wins. Americans don't follow the news, plus most of them watch FOX which is the equivalent of becoming dumber than if one watched nothing. The reverberations from the eurozone financial crisis will continue through this year and beyond. Meanwhile for this year, the eurozone along with a corresponding slowdown in China will negatively impact our economy which is as we know already weak to bad. Since people are more than happy to blame Obama for this and simply can't add one plus one together, somehow Romney has the answer. Romney will shoot huge potholes in the already weakened economy. The outsourcing, anti-union, women blaming, teacher blaming, poor blaming, all of that and then some will further polarize, decrease employment with austerity measures in the government at the Fed and State levels, etc. We are looking at a severe mess because the right has gone way too far, they are off the chart. The right has become a cancer feasting on its host.
