"We cannot get to our wholeness through self-loathing, through shame, a forced or a rushed "program." Pushing and brutalizing ourselves into self-improvement projects often intensifies and reinforces the very feelings of inadequacy and incompetence we want to get rid of. Indeed, we can only get "there" when we accept ourselves where we are, here and now, when we subjectively let ourselves be......not to criticze and blame ourselves for what we are right now."

Good pt. Self hatred is a dead end. Real growth doesn't happen in a straight line.
