No Deal

I am so angered over debt ceiling-gate, I almost can't talk about it. Its that place where the ultra-absurdity of the issue goes beyond reason of any previously known human drama.

One of the more insidious aspects of this alleged debt deal is how there are plans out there from practically ever known politician - The McConnell Plan, The Reid Plan, The McConnell-Reid Plan, The Boehner Plan, The White House Plan. What do all of these plans have in common? The answer is that the vast majority of Americans do not know in the least little bit what they entail.

The future of the world economy is being drawn and quartered at the majestic whim of a group of egotistical political monsters.

CS Monitor: No deal yet on debt crisis. How will Asian markets and Wall Street react?
“I’m not sure failure to reach agreement today [Sunday] will be a signal for a selloff, but as the week goes on, more and more investors will be concerned,” he adds. “There’s definitely a worry that people are going to want to dump their stocks. There could be extreme turmoil in markets.”

...Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D) of Nevada is close to unveiling his own plan to find $2.5 trillion in deficit reduction in straight spending cuts...

The McConnell-Reid plan provides a fast-track procedure for the president to raise the debt limit automatically, subject only to a resolution of disapproval from Congress.
