So much for the idea of the EURO and the Common Market etc. We tried the loose confederation idea and it didn't work out very well. Unfortunately, the Federal idea we now have isn't functioning very well either. The problem with confeds are that when times get rough they aren't strong enough to enforce any kind of discipline or solutions. They have no center.

I read an article recently that had Greece actually going into the black in 2 years. It could have been an optimistic type of article. The predictions were made by IMF types.

At the moment though, the recent measures are only going to postpone the reckoning.

A few years ago everybody said to put money into euros. The euro was supposed to be the thing. Ooops...
