Facebook, is it really necessary? Twitter same thing. I think all these so called Social networking sites just feed the narcissism in our culture and provide limited benefits and have a very dark-side as well. I really am not interested in know much of the trivial BS that people put up. Its infantile.
I think some people use it because it truly is an access to social connections. They chit chat on Facebook like they might chit chat on the phone about mundane issues. One thing I do like about facebook is the email. I never used Twitter. I have a Twitter account but I never got into it, not enough time in the day.
