The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 51 degrees and cloudy with rain expected here in Upstate NY. Everyone is buzzing with the news of Bin Laden's death. People are rejoicing but this underlies the years of unconscious mourning we have all experienced as a social and political chill has covered America since 911.

At 8:00 a.m. futures are moderately up, the dollar is mixed, and oil is down per barrel.

According to investment journalists there is relief in the investment world with Bin Laden's death and this explains the rise in futures.

Q1 reports continue to come through with Con Ed and Humana on tap among other corporations.

The news of the week is Bin Laden, that news will dominate the national discussion.
