Local Violence

Recent violence in Albany NY. I am posting this to give a sense of what small city life is like in Upstate NY. Plain and simple there is a lot of gang related violence. You can't be in sections of the city at this point without expecting to be hassled and that would be a mild outcome.

CBS6: Teen stabbed to death in Albany

It happened Saturday around 7 p.m. in the area of Hoffman Avenue and Corlaer Street.


Arriving at the scene, officers found a 17 year-old male with stab wounds to his chest.


The weapon used has not been identified.


The victim was transported to Albany Med but later died from his injuries

CBS6: Teen recovering from stab wounds after Albany attack

ALBANY  NY-- A 17-year-old was stabbed in the stomach last night.


Albany Police say it happened around 9’oclock Saturday night on Second Street.


It is unknown if this stabbing is connected with a fatal stabbing that occurred around 7 o'clock the same night around Hoffman Avenue and Corlaer Street.
