Yeah, people seem to like it because its non - intrusive. For me its much easier to have an acoustic electric guitar so I don't have to spend so much time figuring out how to mike it and such. I lose out on tone but gain a lot on having more time. My next CD is going to be a guitar CD.

I just got a Roland acoustic amp, and I'm having fun with it. The AC33, it's little. Way better sound than the Peavy piano amp I've been using.
I have a Sunrise pickup on my Gibson. It clamps into the sound hole. Sounds ok I guess, works.
Huh! Reading Keith Richard's book, he says Satisfaction was all acoustic.
