He had to go about the business of maintaining the facade of the religious right, the flat earth crowd, the "intelligent design" crowd, the entire bunch.
In addition big oil had their hands up the guy to his spleen. Add int the mix big oils' bought and sold hired scientists who put out papers refuting global warming and do it for a decent buck.
