Ex Presidential Spokesman on Iraq Lies

CNN: Ex-Bush spokesman: President used 'propaganda' to push war
The spokesman who defended President Bush's policies through Hurricane Katrina and the early years of the Iraq war is now blasting his former employers, saying the Bush administration became mired in propaganda and political spin and at times played loose with the truth.

...Bush "and his advisers confused the propaganda campaign with the high level of candor and honesty so fundamentally needed to build and then sustain public support during a time of war."
The left, the center, and even fringes of the right are all too aware of Bush's "non-truths" surrounding the Iraq war/occupation.

We do not need to point out that the vast majority of Americans want out.

In a time of civility and rule by law, Bush goes to jail. In a time of elitist cronyism and Republican/neocon dirty tricks, Bush goes on a multi-million dollar speaking tour after he walks away from his mess.

Your so right. The main characteristic of this regime is its utter contempt for the rule of law or for Civil behavior period. The BV$H regime represents the real "ruling class" in this country the BIG Mega-Corps. and they no longer feel they have to play by any rules but their own. $$ talks in Amerika and BS runs the marathon. The robbery is complete now no reason to be nice about it. The triumph of PUNK Gov't BV$H style. The BV$histas will go out in ablaze of gun fire and lobster and champagne festivites. Their motto is "Shit happens!"

I'm trying to see Bushco in a particular type of light lately.

I think that he represents just a particular angle of the corporate elite.

His angle is energy, and supporting energy with the military. It happens to be the big enchilada.

This was Iraq, a war about energy resources and enforcing the rules by which energy is run as a corporate business.

Energy seems to be the biggest player in the corporate field. Banks are big, as are companies, as is technology but its really energy at the center. All the military does is enforces the rule of the dollar worldwide, and it often works for energy - Iraq, Afghanistan, all the inner Asian -stans, South America, etc etc.

Bush can't be touched because he was a central figure and these guys basically run the show.

The thing of it is, there's a crack in their system. There's not enough oil, simple as that. They are going to drill in the USA for gas, try to reintroduce nuclear, play bullshit patty cake with ethanol, and put a smiley face on with wind and solar.

The gas resources are vast in the USA. That's what they want. The next president regardless is going to be completely open to that corporate interest.

As far as the people go, we are left with trying to piece it together for ourselves. The smart people try to keep in step. The dumb people like one of my neighbors goes out and buys a huge gas burning shit mobile, all the while having a weak income. The problem is they don't read, follow politics, or pay attention.

We are going to see more mass transit, bicycles, bicycle cities, more smaller hybrids, and if you have the dough, more off the grid houses. The people that can't afford it, are going to be stuck, caught at the mercy of corporate interests with food, shelter, transport, education, and even religion, and definitely entertainment, the stupider the better.
