Guess Who
“You take a look at bacon and some of these products, and some people don’t eat bacon anymore, and, uh, we are going to get the energy prices down, when we get energy down, you know this was caused by their horrible energy, wind, they want wind all over the place, but when it doesn’t blow we have a little problem.” - August 30th 2024

'Epic 80's Vol 3'
Covers by The Hindley Street Country Club
Most cover bands do their own versions of songs. They play the basic bones of a song and generally that is enough to please audiences and dancers. These guys aim to recreate the original, and they are quite good at it. There are a few basic players, the bassist and drummer AKA the rhythm section, and they rotate in and out various other musicians to finish the sound that closes in on the original. It's quite an operation.
War
“The weaponry that we are providing to Ukraine has to have full use, and the restrictions have to be lifted in order for the Ukrainians to be able to target the places where Russia is bombing them. Otherwise, the weaponry is useless,” Borrell said.

Debate
If she wants to put Trump away, she’ll need to demonstrate that the warmth and optimism voters heard in her acceptance speech wasn’t simply the work of good speechwriters and set designers.

Let's say Trump somehow dumps Vance and replaces him with Kennedy, then, these two, the craziest duo in American history goes on to win the presidency. Even after all that, this story right here would be worse, and is more disastrous.

EEE In New Hampshire
Hold onto your hats. If I had to wager a guess, and it's just a guess based on reading, it's coming to New York.

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to improve her position against Donald Trump nationally, where she now leads by two percentage points.
Trump Policy Initiatives
Here's Trump at a recent rally. This the kind of important policy initiatives his followers are hearing about.
Trump: “I was sort of like a hot guy. I was hot as a pistol. I think I was hotter than I am now and I became president. Okay. I don't know. I said to somebody, was I hotter before or hotter now? I don't know.”
War
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a video of Russian soldiers surrendering en masse like that,” said Dara Massicot, a senior fellow with the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Comment
I realized the other day that the tendency by many people to believe whatever they read on the internet without any type of further proof, be it something another person writes, a comment, just plain old deception, has primed people for Trump. Trump now openly and wildly exaggerates practically everything, and it is accepted by his followers without question. They are primed to accept it without question. This doesn't change in America either. There are no civic courses on how to authenticate what one reads. I would bet this tendency that we are witnessing gets worse and worse especially as AI comes more and more into prominence. Plus there's FOX. It's been said that a person is better informed if they watched nothing, no news at all, than watched FOX News. So we have these peddlers of extreme disinformation like Kennedy and Trump. We have to wonder, what kind of human being would deliberately do this type of disinformation. The conclusion always circles back to, well it would someone who is not well.

Normal Competence
“Our nation with this election has a precious, fleeting opportunity to move past the bitterness, cynicism and divisive battles of the past, a chance to chart a new way forward,” Harris said.
In A Box
But as the campaign now moves to its next phase, the focus on him and how he (Trump) attempts to regain his balance will be as much or more of the story compared with how Harris navigates the road ahead.

Bill Clinton did a great job on night three. Two of his most memorable lines for me were the one where he says, "Count the I's and not the lies." He's referring to Trump's selfish narcissistic nature, it's so dark. And at the same time he's also referencing all of Trump's boatload of lies. The other line that caught me was when Clinton goes on about how he is getting old and he doesn't know how many more conventions, if any, he'll attend in the future, meaning he will be dead. Then he says, "But I'm still younger than Trump." I loved that because he stuck it to Trump about being too old, the same tactic Trump used against Biden. All in all it was a lit night, the energy was off the charts. The Democrats have a shot at winning this one, what a turnaround from one month ago. It's unprecedented at least in our lifetime.
