I hate Trump's guts but this is not just a failure at the Fed. level all 50 Governors also failed the test here. Where was Cuomo and the rest in early Feb. when it was pretty obvious this was in the country and spreading fast? They all saw the Chinese struggling to contain it in Wu Han by putting the Army around that city of 11 mil. There has to be a reckoning after this disaster. We hire these people and their HUGE expensive bureaucracies to be our first line of defense against just these kinds of invasions of the body politic and they have all failed miserably and the rest of us are going to literally PAY the price for their malfeasance and incompetence. The only reason the Governors aren't being blasted is because we tend focus on the Nat'l level of leadership for Nat'l defense. That's ok in normal circumstances but many of them knew damn well Trump was incapable of doing anything right in this situation.They knew it back in Jan. Hell, they knew all along. Blaming him might feel good on their parts but it doesn't clear them from some of the blame.

There won't be a reckoning, because the digging out from the damage we are facing will occupy everybody's energy. Malfeasance generally gets swept up along with all of its victims. I'm convinced America is hooked on stupid.
