I'm not with Surrealism much these too much of it has crept into reality lately. Dali the leader of this movement ( mostly a bowel movement) was an open Fascist and by many accounts a nasty evil piece of work. We all laughed at him and his absurdity and thought he was a harmless klown, but alas he was really a Nazis in artistic clothing although even Hitler wanted him dead. Franco though loved and protected him.
I think Man Ray is a lot closer to the Marcel Duchamp than Dali. I am not a fan of Dali to be honest. I think his work is difficult to look at although I recently saw the image of a burning giraffe in his work, and it's good, it's timely. Man Ray is richer to me, he's got more on the ball.
I didn't mean to throw the baby out with the bath water Jim, but I'm in no mood these days to entertain Surrealistic art especially while were living through a scene from a dark Surrealistic movie. I agree, Duchamp and Man Ray are not Dali. Dali was a Malignant Narcissist like Donald by all accounts.
