We would never allow the statues of Benedict Arnold to grace Boston Common or Central Park in NYC would we? Its past time the monuments to traitors be removed in the South. The Civil War has raged on for too long and these defiant monuments to the lost cause are monuments to a failed rebellion or are they something more insidious?
Yes, I agree. They need to go. Save them, warehouse them for future generations to see for themselves and understand where we unfortunately are now, from their point of view and in their future context.
