What an idiot Le Page is. Could he get it more wrong? The Monuments to TRAITORS that tried to destroy America are not the equivalent of Monuments to people who died while going about their lives harming no one. Lee, Davis, Forrest these were Generals in an Army of rebellion that ultimately killed 1 million people when the country only had 35 million people! These were villains bad guys that only escaped being hung by the mercy of Pres. Lincoln and the complicity of Pres. Johnson ( a Southerner himself.) Le Page is a disgusting creepy retard.

He also got into power in a similar way to Trump. The Dem candidate for governor was not liberal enough to some, so they ran a third party person. The majority vote got split and this idiot is the result. He won the vote of the rural poor in Maine which is spread out over Maine. It's a case of the left shooting itself in the foot.

I agree, sadly that's exactly what happened last fall. In happened in 1980 as well when Kennedy challenged Carter from the left. Nevertheless, Clinton did NOTHING to help herself after the primaries by putting Kaine on the ticket to appease the right of the party. She miscalculated that one badly. So, it wasn't all the left's fault last year. Bernie carried the banner of a disaffected unhappy group in the Obama coalition. She couldn't have cared less about us and sadly we are all now paying the price. The irony is that it was young northern blacks that didn't come out and vote last fall in places like Philly and Detriot that defeated her and these same people voted for Bernie in the primaries.
