GOP Tax Plan In Kansas

Sounds about right - 21,000 who make over $250,000 a year will get a $1500 tax cut while 500,000 who make under $25,000 will pay an additional $72.

Let's do the math -

21,000 X $1500 = $31,500,000.

500,000 X $72 = $36,000,000.

Nicely done Kansas, including an itty bitty amount of more revenue for good measure...

Raw Story: Kansas may raise taxes on the poor to fund cuts for the rich

My conservative friends would put it this way, NOW all those losers "have some skin in the game." Oh and the job creators ( the wealthy) will create a few more min. wage jobs as well...in China that is.

Disgusting.

The thing that gets me is that many of these under 25K per year folks will continue to vote for the same politicians that came up with this tax law. They will continue to vote against their own interests.

It might indeed be disgusting, but people support these turds for tribal/emotional reasons and so are quite willing, to as you say, vote against their own self interest. Remember this, the sad facts are that the vast majority of Southern whites before the Civil War didn't own slaves, nevertheless, they gave their lives willingly to defend the wealthy few that did. Why? Because of tribal loyalty, not class loyalty.
