The Market On Wednesday

Good morning. It is 57 degrees and cloudy almost rainy here in Upstate NY. The feel of Fall is arriving little by little. The leaves are getting a looser and a bit browner. Now we are looking for to the promise of an Indian Summer where we have a few more warmer more crystal-like days.

At 8:30 a.m. futures are flat, the dollar is mixed, and is slightly less expensive per barrel.

The main news is that investors are anticipating new policy from the Fed. They want to hear how our faltering economy will be properly stimulated. So there is a watch on, wait for Fed news and react. This is a big deal and is supplanting the ongoing crisis of Greece's debt default.

The Federal Reserve concludes its two-day policy meeting Wednesday afternoon, and investors are hoping the central bank will announce new action to spur the economy -- a move being dubbed "Operation Twist".
