Notice that the dimwit lackeys who were laughing off climate change when we had record snows and cold, are not saying a word now that the US is in a record heat wave Summer. Its so quiet in wingnut ville you could hear a droplet of water hitting a scorched field in Texas.
Incidentally, scientists predict more record setting summers. The article asks the question - how many record setting heat wave summers have to occur before dimwits get it. As Americans seem to have a collective memory of 12 to 24 hours, I predict at least 100 years worth of summers will be needed.

The problem is that we could conceivably have a few years of cool or average weather. Global warming would continue unabated, but the weather could be cooler.
The weather is not a good indicator. Weather can change. There are other much more important metrics to watch.
So if you say that someone is wrongheaded to not notice the hot weather, be prepared to hear people ridiculing climate-change science if it cools off for a while.
Ed - what I find interesting is that no climate change deniers are saying anything in the midst of a record setting heat wave and drought. They will say something in the midst of record setting snow. All I'm pointing out is their "logic", not mine. I know the difference between weather and climate change.
That issue has been kind of quiet lately, hasn't it?
