Charges

Is his decent into dementia increasing? Or is he lying like this to somehow gain sympathy from his supporters. Either way, it's an extremely strange thing for him to say at this point.

• Is his decent into dementia increasing?
So what if it is?

•Or is he lying like this to somehow gain sympathy from his supporters?
He's always done that. Nothing new here.

•Either way, it's an extremely strange thing for him to say at this point.
There is nothing strange when everything is strange. Normalization of any and all behavior.

Until this guy falls down and can't get up, words, content, context, intelligibility, coherence are not gonna diminish his marchl to authoritarian rule. That seems to be what we the people may be choosing.

Mark - I have no more special knowledge about any of this stuff than anyone else. I am strictly writing my impressions of what I am reading and hearing. It strikes me that Trump may very well end up being president again and that to me is terrifying. Here he is claiming he doesn't even know what the charges are. That is not just a red flag, it is a million red flags. He is talking about witnesses that could have helped him when his own defense failed to put these so called witnesses on the stand, including putting Trump on the stand. All of this adds up to someone who will possibly be the world's most powerful person. I personally do not find that to be a good thing. It's terrifying for me as this man with Swiss cheese for brains mixed with the most profound helping of malignant narcissism anyone has every imagined, is holding all our fates in the palm of his dementia riddled hands. There's no oh well to that, there's no this is what America wants to that. This is an existential crisis if there ever was one, and if we just envision the future a little bit, the extent of the crisis is profound.

I am no less fearful of where we seem to be headed.
I guess I was just saying that the amount of acceptance or “normalization“ by the people has increased in proportion to the amount of red flags and insanity by the orange guy.
What you cite as extremely strange is true. It’s even stranger that it doesn’t matter.
