  They identify with Trump. His rage is their rage, his lunacy is their lunacy, his wild conspiracies are their wild conspiracies. He sounds like them. He hates who they hate and he tells them as much. Trump blesses them for their leap into violence, they are martyrs and the true patriots. It's very much based on emotion, it has nothing to do with practicality, numbers, real economic figures, real ability, real international political knowledge. It also goes hand in hand with FOX News, and that goes hand in hand with local cultures, family cultures, community cultures, and especially Evangelical cultures. Think rural Arkansas the home of the KKK except in mostly all rural America. Trump is holding the line between normality and the communist liberal Marxist intellectual elites who want their children to be taught by pedophiles dressed in drag. It's all of course, hyper- crazed thinking, if you can call it thinking. but this is part of the wall that is separating blue and maga right now.
