Global Warming

 Washington Post: In a scorching year, scientists wonder if climate change is speeding up - This year’s record temperatures have some scientists concerned that the pace of warming may be accelerating. But not everyone agrees. By Chris Mooney and Shannon Osaka

Between 1880 and 1969, the planet warmed slowly — at a rate of around 0.04 degrees Celsius (0.07 degrees Fahrenheit) per decade. But starting around the early 1970s, warming accelerated — reaching 0.19 degrees C (0.34 degrees F) per decade between 1970 and 2023.

In a Geologic sense the planet is warming faster then any time in the last 30 mil. yrs.

The articles are changing GK, not from if there is global warming, but to how quickly will we see unprecedented changes.
