But we tend to see one offs as trends at least as much as professional trend experts do. Our need for 'normalcy and predictability' cloud our vision.
I often howl to myself a line from a particular trend setter, Robert Zimmerman: "you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows" Just sayin'.
Nobody knows how it will go but having said that, there are trends, polls, interviews, and these things keep us focused on what is truly important,the commercials.

I think it's one issue, abortion. It's driving women to vote for Democrats. All the rest is fluff.
It'll be interesting to hear the Monday morning quarterbacks (professional trend experts) explain it to us after the November election.
