Yeah. It took me decades to figure out that I experience somatic empathy, usually detrimental. It's very hard for me to achieve a therapeutic level of "professional distance", the kind that good teachers and health care workers have.
It does afford me occasional x-ray vision to see 'inner guts' - emotional landscape, so to speak. It's a power I could do without. In this case, I prefer the blue pill for contented Ignorance.

I bet somewhere in it, there's a silver lining.
