The seas are rising take it from someone who has lived his whole life by them. They're rising fast now and in a few more decades a massive migration away from them will be underway. Sadly, the US has built much of it's infrastructure along its coasts and all this land is going under sooner then later.

We've already given up on the Arctic, and now we're learning how much more vulnerable the Antarctic is. As we know, we'll be reading about large chunks of the Antarctic ice collapsing year after year till there's no more left of it.
